Onsite Training for Labor Unions: Grievance Handling, Steward Training Workshop

Michigan State University's Labor Employment & Workplace Education (LEWE), as part of the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations, brings together University faculty and Union leadership to provide education and training for union leaders and members.  LEWE staff offers workshops on site at your workplace.

Grievance Handling, Steward Training covers the following topics: Role of the steward in the local union; What is a grievance; Steps in the grievance procedure; Duty of Fair Representation; and (for longer programs) Current issues in the U.S. labor movement. Length of this workshop is from 8-16 hours. Basic and advanced options are available.
