  • Cooking Matters Program for Child Care Providers (April 2017)

    Description:

    Cooking Matters for Child Care Professionals is a nutrition program that teaches child care professionals cooking, food safety, and food budgeting. The program is intended to empower providers to deliver nutritious meals and teach healthy eating habits to the children in their care. This program is open to all child care providers. Cooking Matters for Childcare professionals provides 10 hours of education credits for licensing.

    Description:

    Pediatric Grand Rounds are a weekly conference series designed for pediatricians, trainees, and others who are interested in the health care of children. The goal is to provide continuing education on the latest scholarly and research information in pediatrics in order to improve the health care of children in our communities and across our State. It takes place (with some exceptions) on Thursday mornings at 8 am in the main auditorium at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing.

  • Pediatric Manual Medicine (January 2018)

    The objectives of this continuing education course is for the learner to develop the knowledge and palpatory skill necessary to diagnose somatic dysfunction in pediatric patients with symptoms consistent with asthma, latching issues, otitis media, developmental delay, GERD/Colic, torticollis and plagiocephaly. 

    Prerequisites: Principles of Manual Medicine and Craniosacral Techniques: Part I

    Credit hours: 22 1-A

    Description:

    Pediatric Subspecialty Conferences are a weekly case conference series designed for pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, trainees, and others who are interested in the health care of children. The goal is to provide continuing education in a case presentation format to enhance the care we provide to children with complex medical problems and clinical presentations. It takes place on Thursday mornings at 9:15 a.m. in the Sparrow Regional Neonatal ICU Conference Room (5th floor). This conference series has a rotating schedule with Journal Club, which reviews current research pertinent to the care of our pediatric patients, and cases from the Pediatric Ward, the Pediatric ICU, the Neonatal ICU, and our Pediatric Subspecialty Clinics.
