Cooking Matters for Child Care Professionals is a nutrition program that teaches child care professionals cooking, food safety, and food budgeting. The program is intended to empower providers to deliver nutritious meals and teach healthy eating habits to the children in their care. This program is open to all child care providers. Cooking Matters for Childcare professionals provides 10 hours of education credits for licensing.

Project FRESH is an educational program providing participants with coupons to purchase locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmer's markets.
Project FRESH can help you learn how to:
- choose new locally grown produce
- prepare a fruit or vegetable in a new way
- store and preserve fresh fruits and vegetables
- increase fruit and vegetable consumption
- find other community resources that can benefit your family

The series of classes are presented in group settings throughout Michigan
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Snap-Ed) is a free nutrition education program to reduce hunger and food insecurity and promote healthy eating habits. MSU Extension SNAP-Ed nutrition instructors teach youth, teens, adults and seniors how to make health a priority through an instructional series. The goal of the SNAP-Ed program is to increase the likelihood that those eligible for SNAP benefits will establish healthy eating habits and increase their time spent involved in physical activity, while staying within their limited food budget.
