  • Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable, Farm Market, and Greenhouse Growers Expo (December 2018)

    Description:

    The Expo is one of the premier trade shows of its kind. There are over 450 exhibitors with displays of everything needed to grow, harvest, and pack fruit and vegetables, as well as an area featuring companies with products and services for farm marketers. Over three days, the program includes 70+ sessions on fruit crops, vegetable crops, other specialty crops, greenhouse crop production and marketing, farm marketing ideas and operations, farmers’ markets and organic production and marketing. There will also be sessions covering a diversity of general interest topics, including food safety and labor.

    Presentations will be made by researchers and Extension educators from Michigan State University, other Land Grant universities and industry. Many of the education sessions will offer credits for Michigan and Ohio Private and Commercial Pesticide Applicators and Certified Crop Advisors.

  • Michigan Greenhouse Growers Expo - Annual Conference and Trade Show (December 2017)

    Description:

    The Michigan Greenhouse Growers Expo, in coordination with the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable, and Farm Market Expo, offers educational sessions and workshops covering topics such as: fruit and vegetable commodities; greenhouse production and marketing; farm marketing ideas and issues; and special interest topics for growers. The Expo also offers tours to area greenhouses and gardens.  The trade show has more than 380 exhibitors covering 4 acres of exhibit space.

  • Northwest Michigan Orchard and Vineyard Show (January 2018)

    Description:

    Both days of this conference will offer a variety of topics relating to research and information on tart cherries, sweet cherries, apples, wine grapes, berry crops and saskatoons, addressing both production and marketing. Wednesday’s general sessions will open with the annual meeting of the Cherry Marketing Institute, followed by their luncheon, which is free to cherry growers if they pre-register with Cherry Marketing Institute by phone 517-669-4264 or by email at jgordon@usacherries.com.

    The Fruit Industry Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, January 16, The Cherry Marketing Institute annual meeting and luncheon will be on Wednesday, January 17. Wednesday’s luncheon is free to cherry growers if they pre-register with Cherry Marketing Institute (more information below about registering). The exhibit hall will be open during the show to feature vendors of orchard and vineyard equipment and supplies, commodity organizations and other exhibitors.
