The James and Mary Quello Center is focused on stimulating and informing debate on media, communication and information policy for our digital age. The Quello Center’s research often challenges taken-for-granted assumptions about the role of technology, policy and regulation in society. The Center’s researchers value collaboration across Michigan State University and with other centers of excellence focused on issues that arise from the political, social and economic visions and realities of the Internet and related technologies and policies of (un)networked localities, nations, and societies around the world. The Quello Center lectures bring invited speakers who address issues of digital communication and media in the political and social realm.
Upcoming lectures in April 2017 include:
- A Free Digital Society, a Quello Lecture by Richard Stallman (April 11, 2017)
- Maja Andjelkovic on Building Ecosystems for Digital Entrepreneurship (April 14, 2017)
- Connected Lives, a Quello Lecture by Barry Wellman (April 26, 2017)
