At any time in your professional or personal life, you may encounter a child or adolescent who has an emotional and/or mental health concern. In order to help such children, it is necessary to understand the typical development of children and youth as well as the impact of an emotional and mental health disorder on typical development. In this workshop, you will learn strategies that will help you engage and support youth and their natural support systems. You will discuss various emotional and mental health challenges that affect youth development.
