Description:
Organizational Climate Assessment is a joint labor-management employee opinion survey and problem-solving process. Employee opinions are a barometer of an organization's health and can be used to identify issues that can drain morale, productivity, quality, and competitiveness. Survey results can be used in a structured problem-solving process to foster constructive organizational change. PIERS facilitates a structured process to identify and resolve workplace issues and to implement changes to improve organizational functioning. PIERS staff work with a steering committee comprised of labor and management leadership within the organization to design a survey and problem-solving process tailored to the specific needs of the organization and the workforce.

"Our Daily Work/ Our Daily Lives" is a cooperative project that focuses on the cultural traditions of workers, workplaces as contexts for the expression of workers culture, and the diversity of historical and artistic presentations of workers' lives. "Our Daily Work/Our Daily Lives" explores the richness and diversity of worker experience and workers culture with exhibits, lectures and presentations; writing and research projects; and reunions, dialogues, demonstrations and discussions.
