    Description:

    In the spirit of comprehensive coverage, the Americans with Disabilities Act is often ambiguous, making the opportunity for conflict within the workplace high. ADA in the Workplace - Joint Management of Disability Programs provides participants with a set of tools that enables them to anticipate and mediate conflicts before they become disputes. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) provides a mechanism for protecting qualified disabled individuals from discriminatory actions on the part of employers with 15 or more employees.

    The Advanced Master Certificate in Integrated Supply Chain Management provides the knowledge of leading global research faculty, case studies, real-world strategies and examples, as well as networking opportunities to help you master all facets of integrated supply chain management. The essential tools and techniques you’ll gain will take your supply chain management skills and knowledge to a higher level.     Description:

    Michigan State University partners with colleges and universities across the state to offer regionally relevant agricultural training programs for careers in some of Michigan's highest demand industries. Students will benefit from dual enrollment at both institutions with all courses delivered locally at the partnering institution.

    The 55-credit Agricultural Operations program provides students with a solid background in plant and soil science, precision agriculture, water management, entomology, plant pathology and business management. It exposes students to exciting opportunities available in the industry.

  • Approaches to Work and Family Initiatives Seminar

    Description:

    MSU's School of Hospitality Business and Club Managers Association of America offers Business Management Institute III. The one-week seminar teaches participants the use of technology in country clubs, accounting and financial controls, training procedures, quality leadership, team building, change management, marketing, conducting a board meeting, and leadership. Participants must register with the Club Managers Association of America to enroll in this course.

  • Business Process Management Certificate Series (March - May 2019)

    Description:

    Michigan State University’s Business Process Management Certificate is compatible with the Association of Business Process Management Professionals’ (ABPMP) Comprehensive Body of Knowledge.  Via three classroom modules, it provides tools and techniques you need to transform operations to reduce costs, slash service and/or cycle times, increase capacity and provide a better customer experience.  This certificate series also includes three e-learning modules that deliver traditional process improvement knowledge (Lean, Six Sigma) and cutting edge BPM techniques.

  • Exploring and Designing Workplace Teams Workshop

    Description:

    MSU's Union Management Initiatives offers a wide range of open-enrollment workshops and site-specific interventions.  Exploring and Designing Workplace Teams assists labor and management participants in increasing the knowledge and skills they need to build a strong foundation for teams. Unionized organizations have a unique opportunity to improve organizational performance through the joint design, implementation, and oversight of workplace teams. With labor and management participating fully and equally in the process, the organization creates a base for achieving results greater than might be achieved through a unilateral approach.

    Description:

    This two-day interactive workshop is designed to assist organizations in improving the functioning of their current labor-management relationship and, where desired, strengthen the foundation on which a range of joint labor-management initiatives might be built. The program engages labor and management in a process in which they assess their readiness and capability to work more effectively together, construct a vision of their future relationship that they can each commit to, and identify the barriers that they must address to improve the effectiveness of their relationship.

    Description:

    MSU's Management Education Center is a professional conference, training, and educational facility used primarily for management education and organizational development by business, labor, government, and trade associations. Facilities include a 400-seat auditorium, two 110-seat ampitheaters, four flexible-configuration break-out rooms, three dining rooms, as well as a patio and mezzanine great for receptions and display areas. Roughly 20 percent of its activities involve the Advanced Management Program (Executive MBA) and other executive programs sponsored by The Eli Broad College of Business and The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management. The other 80 percent of the Center’s activities involve corporate and business programs outside the University.

    This three-course online certificate program from Michigan State University equips you with an arsenal of valuable new skills and credentials that will help you impact the strategic direction of your organization.     Description:

    The Weekend MBA’s rigorous curriculum is designed to sharpen your business expertise and give you a competitive edge in your career. Throughout these dynamic executive MBA courses, you’ll obtain the essential business knowledge, real-world skills and insights you need to excel in the workplace and contribute to your company’s bottom line. 

    The 45-credit-hour Master of Business Administration (MBA) includes nearly 30 executive MBA courses. Most Weekend MBA courses are 1.5 credit hours and consist of four compressed four-hour sessions that leverage technology to get the most out of in-class time. The program begins with a 7-day intensive academic residency in East Lansing in late summer.
