  • Innovate Michigan! Summit (August 2019)

    The Innovate Michigan! Summit will feature presentations on innovative economic development tools, models, programs, and policies from around the state. Following the Summit, participants are invited to stroll the MIC Expo and network at the evening reception.

    In this one-day program, you will learn about new tools and techniques to search for and encourage innovation in your organization, as well as the skills needed to build a business case and communicate your ideas effectively to ensure implementation.

  • Michigan Cottage Food Law Online Training

    Location:

    Online. This training program requires a  high speed internet connection.

    Description:

    This is an online training program for Michigan Cottage Law Food Safety certification. The Michigan Cottage Food Law allows Michigan residents to manufacture and store particular foods in an unlicensed kitchen, such as a residential home. Through this program participants will learn about the Cottage food law and other principles you can use to provide safe products. Cottage Food Law Food Safety training educates on preparing and selling foods under the Cottage Food Law, producing a safe food product, production, packaging and labeling, storing and transporting. Participants will be able to print their certificate after successfully completing the online  quiz at the end of the course.

    The MSU EDA University Center for Regional Economic Innovation (REI) at the MSU Center for Community and Economic Development is building a new economic development ecosystem, leveraging higher education assets to support the co-creation, co-application, and dissemination of innovative economic development strategies that promise to yield high-growth entrepreneurship, job creation and economic innovation throughout the state of Michigan!  At the wheel of the REI University Center Ecosystem is the REI Network, a responsive virtual community of over 800 members from the public and private sector that are engaged in strategic partnerships and collaborative learning.
