Description:
This self-paced continuing nursing education (CNE) offering is developed to raise awareness of human trafficking- a form of modern day slavery becoming increasingly prevalent in Michigan, in the United States and globally. The aim of the module is to educate nurses and provide tools and strategies to assist in the care of victims of human trafficking. The content of the module complies with the standards of training of human trafficking as required by the Michigan Board of Nursing (MBON) that became effective January 6, 2017.

The Michigan Policy Network is a student-led public education and research program to report and organize news and information about the political process surrounding Michigan state policy issues. It is run out of the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University, with participation by students from the College of Social Science, the College of Communication, and James Madison College.
